Trip Times and Pricing
Morning trip - Arrive at 6:30 a.m. Boat leaves at 7:00 a.m.
and returns at Noon.
Afternoon trips - Arrive at 12:30 p.m. Boat leaves at 1:00 p.m.
and returns at 6:00 p.m.

Reservations and Deposits
For reservations call: (847) 640-8113
A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation. Balance is due
before the trip. Deposits are refundable up to one week before the trip date.
There is a 5$ fee for credit card usage

Minimum Passenger Number
Minimum of four divers required. Full boat is six divers.
Proof of certification and liability waiver will be required from all divers.

Dive Sites Include:
Schooners 20 ft. (Zion) - Unidentified wooden schooners.
Good shallow dive in a sheltered location.
George Morley 20 ft. (Evanston) - 200 ft. wooden steamer that
burned on December 9, 1907. Wreck has intact hull below the gunwales.
Seabird 30 ft. (Great Lakes) - 190 ft. sidewheel steamer that
caught fire and sank on April 9, 1868. Huge paddle wheel, 26 ft. in diameter, with
cast iron axle is reasonably intact.
Wells Burt 30 ft. (Evanston) - 201 ft. bulk carrier sunk in a
storm on May 21, 1883. 2/3 of the wreck's deck remains in place and is easily
accessible through the hatches. Deck equipment, including capstan, windlass and
chain brake are present.
Kate Kelly 40 ft. (Racine) - 126 ft. two masted, wooden schooner
that sunk during a storm on May 14, 1895. Wreck is broken in two.
Winds of the Wind 40 ft. (Chicago) - 142 ft. two masted schooner
which sunk after being struck amidship by another vessel on May 12, 1866. Intact
bow, bow sprit, large wooden windlass on deck, and centerboard truck are present.
Lady Elgin 55 ft. (Fort Sheridan) - The "Titanic" of
the Great Lakes. On September 8, 1860, the 'Lady Elgin', a 252 ft wooden, sidewheel
passenger steamer, with 393 passengers on board, was rammed by a lumber laden schooner.
Only 98 passengers survived this terrifying disaster. Remains of the ship are
located in 3 primary areas.
Lumberman 55 ft. - 70 ft. (Racine) - On April 7, 1893, the wooden
schooner capsized and sunk. Schooner is upright and nearly intact. The top of
the deck is at approximately 50 ft.. Great dive site for wreck dive training.
Wisconsin 95 ft. - 130 ft. (Kenosha) - Sunk as the result of a
northeasterly gale on October 29, 1929. The deck of the wreck begins at 95 ft..
The bottom is at 128 ft.. The ship is sitting squarely on her keel in a near
upright position. The steel superstructure of the wreck is nearly swept away,
exposing the supporting I-beams. In her cargo hull, three vintage automobiles remain
- a Hudson, an Essex and a Chevrolet touring car.
St. Mary 105 ft. (Highland Park) - 120 ft. wooden schooner.
The wreck has collapsed but it is all there. There are two large anchors, the
windlass, the ship's wheel, dead eyes, rigging blocks, and much more. Truly a virgin
wreck.
Rosinco 180 ft. (Kenosha) - Approx. 85 ft. steel hulled motor
yacht owned by the Commodore of the Chicago Yacht Club. Sank in the early morning
hours after striking a submerged object in 1929. Well preserved. Intact wreck
shrouded with fish nets.
New Wrecks ?? $ 100 reward for information that leads to diveable
new wrecks from Racine to Highland Park.

Rental Eqipment
Diving equipment is not included with the price of the trip. Rental
reservations for tanks, weight belts, regulators, and other equipment, if required, must
be made in advance. Exposure suits are not available.

Training
Instructors are welcome to conduct specialty and training courses aboard Enterprise
at no additional cost. There will be a TV/VCR available.

Weather
Trips are not canceled due to rain. The decision to cancel a trip
due to bad weather usually cannot be made until depature time. Trips may be canceled
due to waves and storms.
Our guidelines are:
2 - 3 ft. waves - Trip proceeds
4 - 5 ft. waves - Drivers may vote to cancel
trip
5 - 6 ft. waves - Trip canceled
The captain will cancel any trip he believes is unsafe and make refunds to
all drivers present.
Remember that weather is different on
different parts of the lake - Bad weather at the weather
buoy in the middle of the lake does not necessarily mean
that we will have bad weather at our dive site.

Directions to Waukegan Harbor from Chicago
Interstate 94 north. Exit at Belvidere Road (Rt. 120) east.
Continue on Belvidere Road east to Lake Michigan (road ends). Turn north
on Pershing Road and proceed to Madison Street. Turn east on Madison Street
and proceed to the end of the road at the harbor entrance.
Enterprise is located at the end of the main pier. Equipment may be
unloaded into the gear carts and vehicles may then be reparked.
